The Viscount was founder of the firm, Lever Brothers, which made a major international investment in the Solomon Islands. This personal bound volume is entitled Solomon Islands Views, and contains 98 photographs that illustrate the beginnings of the Levers' Pacific Plantations operations. Photos include buildings, plantations at various stages, local populace, and steamships. Among the places listed are Rendova, Pepesala and Guadalcanar. Persons photographed include the Resident Commissioner of the Islands, missionary J.F. Goldie and various Lever officers. List of photographs available.
